Pipeline, Issue 01, front cover

What do these 20 marketers have in common?

  • 13 of the 20 have CMO in their title. In the Series A issue it was 4 of 12, so the person building pipeline moves into the C-suite as a company grows.
  • 7 of the 20 joined their company in the last 16 months, including 3 in 2026: Rachel Hepworth at Harvey, Colin Fleming at OpenAI and Brian Hall at Mistral AI.
  • 3 of them grew up inside the company. Zach Kitschke was Canva's fifth hire in 2013, Antoine Le Nel joined Revolut as VP Growth in 2021 and Sarah Scharf went from Vanta's first product marketer to its CMO.
  • 2 of the companies ran their first Super Bowl ads in 2026, Anthropic and Zapier. Anthropic's campaign won the Film Grand Prix at Cannes.
